Week 55 - Spiritual Energy (without audio)
This week, I went for a walk with a friend - Saadadeen & Sulaiman each share a thought from their week
Shop Floor
This week, I went for a walk with a friend.
We walked and talked like old friends.m
We shared stories.
Shared reminders.
Reflected on the change in scenery.
4 years ago we walked down a similar path.
Along the tightrope embedded within the city.
Visiting one shop at a time.
Now we’re on the shop floor.
Part of its interior design.
Our friendship is built upon a common bond.
A common outlook on life.
That being a student is less of an occupation.
More of a state of mind.
I’ve always admired his thirst for knowledge.
His focus on the fulfilment of potential.
My friend is the type of individual.
To patiently wait till the end of a talk to ask a question.
Once everyone else has left the room.
So the speaker knows the question is for them.
Not the audience.
We often speak about the concept of performance.
The dance routine of destiny.
How conversations with reception and maintenance.
Sustain spiritual energy.
So we can stay in tune with the beat.
So we can tread lightly, in the most slippery of streets.
So we can perform, principally.
As the students that we’ll always be.
Dear Marsha
& so it is with a heavy heart you read this email. I can’t remember the last time I had to dig this deep to unearth a thing I thought I had buried
Do you remember when you told me that you believed all great art requires vulnerability. Did you say that to mean you are not a great artist because you believe you are incapable of being vulnerable ? Because I think you are, both.
Dear Colin
A heart cannot be heavy. And that which you have buried need not be unearthed.
Colin, There is far less wonder in the world than it seems you would care to admit.
Dear Marsha
You are beautiful.
Dear Colin
Please. No.
Dear Marsha
But Marsha, look outside.
